About me

Martin Grimmer received a diploma in sports science in 2008 at Friedrich Schiller Universitaet Jena, Germany. He received a Phd in 2015 at the Lauflabor Locomotion Laboratory, Technische Universitaet Darmstadt, Germany. He was a guest researcher at the Arizona State University in 2012, Postdoc at the Harvard Biodesign Lab in 2015 and Postdoc at the Sensory Motor Systems Lab in 2016 and 2017. His research interests include biomechanical analyses of the lower limb in human gait and gait transitions and the transfer of biological inspired mechanical principles to wearable lower limb robotics. Since 2019 Martin Grimmer is an Athene Young Investigator Group Leader embedded within the Locomotion Laboratory.
